Duncan brings more than 30 years of experience across the pensions and financial services sector. He’s
currently Chief Executive Officer of EQ Retirement Solutions, where he leads large-scale pension
administration and service delivery for millions of members, with previous senior roles at Equiniti and Aon
Hewitt including UK Chief Operating Officer. His experience spans strategy, governance and operational
delivery in complex, regulated environments, alongside a strong focus on improving member outcomes
and advancing the role of administration across the pensions system.
Duncan’s appointment further strengthens PASA’s Board as it continues to support the industry in
delivering high-quality administration and ensuring it is recognised as a critical enabler of good member
outcomes.
David Fairs, Chair of PASA, said: “Pensions administration is now firmly recognised as central to the
successful delivery of pensions, with growing expectations from regulators, trustees and members.
Duncan’s appointment reflects this shift. He brings deep operational expertise, strategic insight and a
clear commitment to raising standards across the industry. His experience will be invaluable as PASA
continues to support earlier, more informed engagement between trustees and administrators, and to
ensure administration is consistently represented at the top table.”
Duncan Watson said: “I’m delighted to be joining the PASA Board at such an important time for the
industry. Administration is increasingly recognised as fundamental to delivering value for members, and
PASA plays a vital role in supporting that progress. I look forward to working with the Board and wider
community to strengthen standards, support collaboration across the industry and continue to build
recognition of administration as a core part of pensions delivery
Duncan is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries and is a strong advocate for the continued development
and recognition of pensions administration as a profession.
