I am an Actuary (Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries) and an Associate Director at Deloitte where I joined as a graduate 13 years ago, time flies when you’re having fun as they say! I have experience in advising Trustees and Sponsoring employers of DB and DC pension schemes and have long standing Trustee and Corporate advisory roles advising across a wide range of areas including M&As and pensions restructuring, funding and scheme actuarial advice, long term funding strategies and alternative risk reduction and management options.
In recent years I have developed and lead our Data and Benefit Assurance services, and have vast experience in undertaking reviews of pension scheme management and the administration processes and controls in place. My team support many pension schemes with benefit calculation reviews and supporting the end to end benefit rectification process, and combining this with our audit expertise we are a specialist team in this area. Our Data Analyser and Validation Engine (DAVE) is supporting pension schemes with reviewing and improving their data, with specialist versions for the data issues arising from GMP equalisation, buy-outs and looking towards Pension Dashboards. I’m passionate about the importance of data and believe it’s a key focus area for the pensions industry and essential for driving good member outcomes.
