PASA Responds to TPR Enforcement Strategy Consultation

PASA has submitted its response to The Pensions Regulator’s Enforcement Strategy consultation.

Our response emphasises:

  • Support for TPR’s direction — notably its focus on saver outcomes, proportionality, and early intervention
  • A call for a clearer distinction between matters best handled via guidance vs enforcement, so schemes can understand expectations
  • Suggestion that enforcement priorities should explicitly reference administration quality and data integrity
  • Alignment of TPR’s work with existing frameworks — PASA’s accreditation and standards programmes should be embraced to reduce duplication
  • Metrics of success should go beyond number of enforcement actions — to real improvements in saver experience, e.g. fewer complaints, better transfer times, stronger data quality

A special thank you to the PASA Industry Policy Committee (IPC) and their employer organisations, whose contributions were invaluable to the development of this response.
