SUMMARY:PASA Annual Conference
DESCRIPTION:If ever there was a time for pensions administration ‘The time is now’. There are a mountain of changes in store for 2024. Even without a general election which could result in a change of government\, we’ve got new policy initiatives to implement with huge impacts on administration. This really is our chance to shine and demonstrate administration really is at the heart of pensions. \nTPR’s blog from Cliodhna Judge in September 2023 told us how topics such as dashboards\, VFM\, covid and cyber leaks have put the importance of good administration at the forefront of the Regulator’s mind and described how they intend to use ‘a successful supervision approach to establish open\, two-way relationships’ with administrators to ‘understand the challenges and tackle the risks’. \nIn the same month\, Mary Stark’s Independent Review of TPR\, recommended TPR and DWP work together to understand the benefits of extending TPR’s regulatory remit to cover pensions administrators. Regardless of where you stand on this subject\, never before has administration been so deliberated and considered! \n2024 really does look to be a pivotal year for administration. Our speakers will debate all of the above topics and more throughout the day’s sessions\, and we hope you’ll join us in person to add your thoughts – either by asking questions to our speakers or by discussing your thoughts with other delegates in the PASA community. We hope to see you there for a lively and welcoming day of discussions!

SUMMARY:XPS PensionsTalk 2023\, Day 4: Evaluating and shaping your scheme administration to fulfill your scheme’s strategy
DESCRIPTION:Don’t miss Kim Gubler\, PASA chair and Sarah Leslie\, Partner and Director from ndapt on evaluating and shaping your scheme administration to fulfill your scheme’s strategy. \n“As schemes accelerate their journey plans and legislation demands increase\, there is now a bigger focus on how administration can support or inhibit schemes’ objectives. SUMMARY:Private & Public Pensions Summit
DESCRIPTION:PASA Chair\, Kim Gubler\, will be speaking at the Private & Public Pensions Summit at Pennyhill Park. Check out her session and ask her lots of questions if you’re there! \nWhy good administration is at the cornerstone of a great pension system\, delivering a great experience and protecting people from scams.\nAdministration is often seen as the poor relation to investment when it comes to delivering great member outcomes. But it is the administration side of things\, not the trustee or the investment manager\, that is the interface between the scheme and the customer. Getting this right is important in delivering great customer outcomes\, getting this wrong creates member dissatisfaction and plays into the hands of scammers.

SUMMARY:Sustainable Investment Festival 2023
DESCRIPTION:Sustainable investing has reached the next stage in its rapid transformation to become part of the investment mainstream. \nInvestors are demanding strategies with better outcomes for the environment and society\, while regulators are implementing new frameworks to support and drive this purposeful investment. \nClearly\, box-ticking is no longer enough and effective engagement at all levels of the industry is now essential to ensure meaningful change is achieved. \nThe Sustainable Investment Festival (SIF) will take impactful engagement as a key theme. \nThis will include: \n\nExploring best practice in how asset managers engage with companies\nHow advisers engage with clients on sustainable investing\nHow fund selectors and pension professionals engage with fund managers to drive positive change\n\nSIF will share valuable insights from companies that go the extra mile\, demonstrate excellence\, and use innovative solutions to push the boundaries of what sustainable investing can achieve. \nAs regulatory pressures also build in this area and data becomes more advanced\, SIF is the only event of its kind to bring together fund selectors\, financial advisers and pension professionals to help them navigate this fast-changing environment and ask the right questions to make better decisions. \nAs pressure intensifies on the investment industry to ‘walk the talk’\, SIF will continue to lead the discussion on how delegates can cut through the greenwash and hold the sector to account. \nIf you are looking to take the next step and go beyond the box-ticking\, you need to be at the Sustainable Investment Festival 2023. Join the investment leaders who are pioneering the new era of sustainable investing!

SUMMARY:Admin and Data Forum - Keynote by PASA Chair\, Kim Gubler
DESCRIPTION: \nAdmin and Data Forum | Wednesday 15 March | London\nRegister now! \nKim Gubler\, Chair of The Pensions Administration Standards Association (PASA) will present the opening keynote session at the Professional Pensions Admin & Data Forum on 15 March in central London. Delegate places at the conference are free for trustees and in-house pension and benefit scheme representatives. Register now! \nKim’s session “Step Back and Wait Ad-minute: Improving Admin with a Future in Mind” will address the following areas: \nAdmin is the window into your scheme for members; so\, it is crucial it is up to scratch. As your scheme changes\, your administrators must be informed to see if they have the recourse space. Yet this is not always the case. So where does admin stand in the “pension scheme food chain”? \nAdmin has been on the agenda seriously for roughly the last fifteen years\, only to be pushed aside by many. With GMP equalisation\, dashboards\, Endgame in sight for many and a recruitment shortage\, schemes can’t afford to push admin to the side any longer.

SUMMARY:PASA Dashboards Value Data webinar - recording now available
DESCRIPTION:  \nIn order to help users of pensions dashboards understand the income they may receive from a pension benefit; schemes are expected to provide value data. This will include accrued benefit and Estimated Retirement Income (ERI) calculations\, which schemes may not currently be holding as a matter of course. \nWe explore these complexities among further considerations to help you understand what’s needed to make your value data ‘dashboards ready’ for your staging date. Hear from our experts as we discuss: \n• Ensuring your value data is ‘pensions dashboards’ ready \nRob Dodson\, Co-chair of the Pensions Dashboards Working Group (PDWG) will take a closer look at what schemes need to consider between now and their onboarding deadline. Whilst also laying out TPR’s expectation on what trustees should be doing now and what to expect from TPR in the coming months. \n• BAU considerations for value data \nMaurice Titley\, Co-chair of the PDWG will be looking ahead to what schemes need to do once they have onboarded onto the dashboard. He’ll also be providing insight around specific value data topics such as calculations and the updating of data. \n• Dashboards user experience \nRichard Smith\, Pensions Dashboards Strategy Advisor at Moneyhub will draw on international and Moneyhub alpha dashboard learnings to offer potential ‘front end’ perspectives.
